– Montréal, 30 april 2015 – Tonight, Industrial Union of Workers – Montréal (IWW / HIS), blocking entrances to the Radio-Canada tower in Montreal. This action in solidarity with Radio Canada es worker is part of the movement against austerity measures and in the campaign for a social strike on May 1 2015.

The SITT-IWW refuses discourse and program cuts and impoverishment of workers', students and students and unemployed.

Since many years, we are told that we must tighten their belts, the government must save the economy, he must repay the debt sacrosanct and that we absolutely must take austerity measures. During this time, it is in our living conditions they cut. While big companies and wealthy of our society are increasing their profits, we, the majority of the population, it was difficult to make ends meet. Political parties, Quebec and Ottawa, are competing to see who the most cut in social programs or privatize most. Governments are in the service of the economic elite and applies anti-social and destructive policies

The different cuts of government have an impact on the services and the quality of public services. So, for workers and Radio Canada workers it actually represents thousands of job cuts and the destruction of their working conditions. More, we also everyone concerned, because these cuts are just the announcement of what happens : massive cut in social services, dismissals in the public and private.

In short the lives of more and more difficult for all workers everywhere, but the resistance is growing. We will not let the governments and the employers impose their anti-social measures. Gone are the days when a minority is enriched on the back of a majority of increasingly poor. Our unity gives us a radical response to the employer's side logic.

It must go by amplifying.
