Call for an inter quota the 12 November 2017

While the rich and politicians increasingly fatten, political and popular nationalist discourses trying somehow to divide the population on the issue of immigration. It offers us prémâchées ideas, from intellectual shortcuts that fuel the idea that the solution lies in a "we" united and strong and who is standing proudly and face the "invasion" of the other. It is important in this context where the class of workers' is divided on this issue, to use our anger at these injustices, to unite and say No.! At & rsquo; intolerance. We must respond each time the extreme right is expressed in radios, in our neighborhoods or in political speeches. It's time to cut the grass under the foot to the far right and take the lead with those who are victims of hatred and racism.

As unionists, we must show solidarity with our colleagues since they are in the same class oppression. This is breaking the isolation and by standing up to racism that we can deal with the employers operating divides, that prioritizes and keeps women workers and workers in precarious situations.

It is not only important to unite colleagues, to regain control of our work force and break with the racist discourse that divide us. We must unite between unionists, to make visible a speech against really popular and solidarity face to that of the extreme right and that will leave more room for hatred of ideas being disseminated in the public space.

This is why the ISTC-Montreal IWW calls for an inter quota during the demonstration against racism and hate the 12 November 2017 at 14 hours at Place Émilie-Gamelin. Let us join forces in solidarity with those who suffer hatred and exclusion and stand together against those who want to divide us to better exploit us!
